Iranian born, Somayeh is a director represented by Ridley Scott Creative Group in the UK and Magnetic Field in the US. She graduated from Royal Holloway University of London, studied Media Arts and MA Documentary and has since worked as a video editor at Vice, Kode Media and Dare over the last five years. Somayeh combines her eye for the cinematic moment with her documentary experience and interest. Her personal history is often layered into her work, sometimes raw, often poetic. She speaks Farsi fluently and can understand quite a bit of Azari.
