Shabnam is a London and Germany based filmmaker. With a background in political science and being from mixed heritage, her work often focuses on questions around identity and representation, in the medium of short and long form fiction, documentary, music videos and commercial. Shabnam directs, writes, self-shoots and edits. Her most recent work includes fictional series for Disney+, Netflix and TV and commercial work for companies such as Google, Nike and YouTube. Shabnam is a Native German speaker, she also speaks English, Polish and a little bit of Farsi and Portuguese.
